| dc.description.abstract | El objetivo del artículo es describir e interpretar los contextos socio-espaciales facilitadores del reclutamiento de mujeres para la explotación sexual comercial. Interesa desentrañar los tipos de relaciones interpersonales y de género que se despliegan en estos lugares y que hacen naturalmente aceptable que una mujer se ponga o sea puesta a trabajar en el comercio sexual. La investigación se desarrolla en una barriada de la ciudad ecuatoriana de Santo Domingo de los Tsáchilas bajo una metodología antropológica. Se concluye con una reflexión acerca de la evidente multicausalidad de cuestiones asociadas a la precariedad y la confrontación; destaca la transformación del mandato hegemónico del hombre proveedor en formas diversas entre las que sobresalen las protagonizadas por mujeres que asumen ese rol saliendo a trabajar, cuando salir significa ser prostituida. | es_ES |
| dc.description.abstract | This paper aims to describe and interpret the socio-spatial contexts through which the recruitment of women for commercial sexual exploitation is facilitated. It is interesting to unravel the types of interpersonal and gender relations taking place in these areas and that make it naturally acceptable for a woman either to start working or to be taken to work in the sex trade industry. The investigation has been carried out in a peripheral suburb of the Ecuadorian city of Santo Domingo de los Tsáchilas. We have used an anthropological methodology. We conclude by discussing the evident multi-causality of issues linked with precariousness and confrontation; it is underlined the transformation of the hegemonic mandate of the male supplier in various forms, among which highlights those carried out by women who assume this role by going out to work, when going out means to be prostituted. | es_ES |
