Geometría inversiva

Abstract

El objetivo principal de este Trabajo es estudiar la aplicación inversión. La inversión aparece por primera vez en la asignatura de Dibujo Técnico, reglada en Bachillerato, y se sigue empleando en algunas Ingenierías. Sin embargo, no se instruye en el Grado de Matemáticas por no tratarse de una aplicación ni lineal, ni afín, ni proyectiva. Se centra el trabajo en estudiar la inversión respecto de una circunferencia únicamente como aplicación del plano en sí mismo. Para ello, primero se muestran algunas propiedades mediante técnicas de Geometría Sintética y de Geometría Analítica, tanto considerando coordenadas reales como complejas. Más adelante, se sumerge en la Geometría Proyectiva para extender la aplicación.

The main goal of this essay is to study the inversion application. Inversion first appears in Technical Drawing subject, taught at the high school level, and continues being used in some fields of Engineering. However, it is not taught in the Mathematics Degree since it is neither a linear, nor affine, nor projective application. This work focuses on studying inversion in respect to a circle just as an application of the plane to itself. For this purpose, firstly, some properties are demonstrated using techniques from Synthetic Geometry and Analytical Geometry, considering both real and complex coordinates. Subsequently, the study delves into Projective Geometry to extend the application.
