Introducción a las ecuaciones diferenciales con retardo

Abstract

Las ecuaciones diferenciales con retardo aparecen con frecuencia en diferentes problemas de diversas disciplinas como la medicina, la biología, la ingeniería o la economía. Se caracterizan por tener en cuenta la influencia de estados anteriores en el comportamiento actual del sistema. Sus soluciones no siempre son fáciles de calcular e incluso en ciertas situaciones no existen. Por eso, el objetivo de este trabajo es, por un lado, mostrar diversos ejemplos resolubles utilizando distintos métodos y, por otro lado, proporcionar ciertos resultados que garanticen la existencia y unicidad de solución de un problema de ecuaciones diferenciales con retardo y función inicial.

Delay differential equations frequently appear in different problems from various disciplines such as medicine, biology, engineering or economics. They are characterized by taking into account the influence of previous states on the current behavior of the system. Their solutions are not always easy to calculate and even in certain situations they do not exist. Therefore, the aime of this work is, on the one hand, to show various solvable examples using different methods and, on the other hand, to provide certain results that guarantee the existence and uniqueness of solution of a delay differential equations problem and initial function.
