Resolución de problemas matemáticos con materiales didácticos en alumnado con Trastorno del Espectro Autista

Abstract

El presente trabajo se enfoca en evaluar la efectividad de los materiales didácticos en la resolución de problemas matemáticos en estudiantes con Trastorno del Espectro Autista (TEA). Numerosos artículos demuestran que los estudiantes con TEA se benefician del uso de estos materiales como herramientas de aprendizaje, ya que fomentan una mayor autonomía, motivación e interés en su proceso educativo. Por lo tanto, con la participación de un alumno con TEA, procedemos a verificar la validez de estos artículos. Para llevar a cabo esta investigación, se determina la edad matemática del alumno y se le aplica una prueba inicial de operaciones y problemas para identificar las principales dificultades en conceptos matemáticos. Posteriormente, se utilizan una serie de materiales didácticos, tanto visuales como manipulativos, con el alumno para obtener resultados específicos.

This paper focuses on evaluating the effectiveness of didactic materials in mathematical problem solving in students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Numerous articles show that students with ASD benefit from the use of these materials as learning tools, since they foster greater autonomy, motivation and interest in their educational process. Therefore, with the participation of a student with ASD, we proceed to verify the validity of these articles. To carry out this research, the mathematical age of the student is determined and an initial test of operations and problems is applied to identify the main difficulties in mathematical concepts. Subsequently, a series of didactic materials, both visual and manipulative, are used with the student to obtain specific results.
