La relación entre las consecuencias de la desprotección infantil y el fracaso escolar: estado de la cuestión y propuesta resiliente

Abstract

Este Trabajo de Fin de Grado busca analizar cómo afecta el maltrato infantil al desarrollo y bienestar de los infantes, profundizando la relación entre las consecuencias que este provoca y el fracaso escolar. Se revisará la literatura científica vinculada con las consecuencias del maltrato infantil a nivel cognitivo, socioemocional y conductual, así como con los problemas derivados de las mismas en el entorno educativo, responsables del fracaso escolar. Por otro lado, se abordará la respuesta resiliente que desde la escuela se ofrece a esta problemática. Se analizarán algunos de los modelos teóricos que reconocidos autores han propuesto en este sentido para finalmente desarrollar una serie de recomendaciones a la escuela con el objetivo de fortalecer y crear resiliencia en las aulas de Primaria. Dicha propuesta busca ayudar a los y las docentes a construir entornos de bienestar y protección, en la que todos los niños y niñas y en especial aquellos/as que hayan sufrido situaciones de desprotección, puedan crecer y desarrollarse adecuadamente. Para estos niños y niñas, víctimas de desprotección, este tipo de entornos posibilitará la superación de algunas de las problemáticas que parecen responsables del fracaso escolar

This Final Degree Project seeks to analyze how child maltreatment affects the development and welfare of infants, deepening the relationship between the consequences it causes and school failure. The scientific literature related to the consequences of child maltreatment at cognitive, socioemotional and behavioral levels will be reviewed, as well as the problems derived from them in the educational environment responsible for school failure. On the other hand, the resilient response offered by the school to this problem will be addressed. Some of the proposals and models that have been made in this sense will be analyzed in order to finally propose a series of recommendations to the school with the aim of strengthening and creating resilience in primary classrooms. This proposal seeks to help teachers to build environments of well-being and protection, in which all children, especially those who have suffered situations of lack of protection, can grow and develop adequately. For these children, victims of lack of protection, this type of environment will make it possible to overcome some of the problems that seem to be responsible for school failure.
