Con el presente trabajo, se pretende estudiar la importancia que tienen la Educación Emocional y la Inteligencia Emocional en la educación integral de los alumnos de Educación Primaria. Además, se intentan identificar los beneficios que genera la Educación Artística para su desarrollo emocional, un ámbito cada vez más importante.
Analizando las publicaciones de algunos autores como Mayer y Salovey, Rafael Bisquerra o Èlia López Cassà, se ha comenzado describiendo el término de emoción y la existencia de tipos diferentes. Después, se han diferenciado los conceptos de Inteligencia Emocional y Educación Emocional y se ha detallado la aportación del arte al desarrollo emocional. Por último, se ha diseñado una propuesta didáctica para implementar en las aulas, con la que los niños pueden aprender, a través de técnicas pedagógicas como la asamblea, el buzón o el espacio de la calma, a identificar, comprender y regular sus emociones.
Finalmente, tras poner en práctica el contenido del trabajo, es correcto afirmar que las actividades artísticas pueden ser la herramienta ideal para fomentar la expresión y comunicación eficaz entre el alumnado, estimulando así sus habilidades sociales. Por ello, la Educación Artística no solo mejora la creatividad de los niños, sino que también juega un papel importante en su desarrollo cognitivo al mejorar su Inteligencia Emocional
This work attempts to highlight the importance of Emotional Education and Emotional Intelligence in the comprehensive education of Primary Education students. In addition, it tries to identify the benefits generated by Art Education for their emotional development, an increasingly important area.
Analysing the publications of some authors such as Mayer y Salovey, Rafael Bisquerra or Èlia López Cassà, we have begun by describing the term emotion and the existence of different types. Then, the concepts of Emotional Intelligence and Emotional Education have been differentiated and the contribution of art to emotional development has been detailed. Finally, a didactic proposal has been designed to be implemented in the classrooms, with which children can learn, through pedagogical techniques such as the assembly, the mailbox or the space of calm, to identify, understand and regulate their emotions.
Finally, after putting the content of the work into practice, it is correct to state that artistic activities can be the ideal tool to promote expression and effective communication among students, thus stimulating their social skills. Therefore, Art Education not only improves children's creativity, but also plays an important role in their cognitive development by improving their Emotional Intelligence
