La época navideña es sin duda un momento único que disfrutar con los seres queridos y con aquellas personas que sean importantes en la vida y por ello conoceremos brevemente la historia de esta época. Debido a lo especial de esta época festiva, las experiencias que puede ofrecer el turismo son ilimitadas y, en muchas ocasiones, unifican a las personas. El turismo navideño cada vez ha tomado mayor relevancia en el mercado turístico y durante este trabajo, se analizarán los desplazamientos y gasto turístico, entre otros factores, para determinar la importancia que ha tenido el turismo navideño y la que cobrará durante los próximos años. A su vez, las entrevistas realizadas a varios profesionales del sector darán una mayor visión turística en sus respectivos sectores. A lo largo de este trabajo también se describirán los diferentes tipos de turismo y productos turísticos, conociendo la relevancia de estos. Finalmente, los beneficios e inconvenientes serán tomados en cuenta, a la vez que se realizará un análisis DAFO para situar las opciones del turismo navideño. Al final de este proyecto se tendrá una visión fundamentada y clara de la importancia del turismo navideño.
The Christmas Season is undoubtedly a unique time to enjoy with the loved-ones and the people who are important in someone’s life. Therefore, this project will briefly resume the history of the Christmas Season. Due to the special moments during this festive period, experiences that tourism can offer are limitless and are able to unify relationships. Christmas Tourism has turned into an increasing sector nowadays. Aspects such as tourist displacements and tourism expenditure will be analysed long this project to determine the relevance of Christmas Tourism during the past and following years. Moreover, professionals in the Tourism Industry have been interviewed to add relevant information about this Economical Sector. Throughout this project, the set of benefits and drawbacks will be considered. In addition, a SWOT analysis will be carried out. At the end of this extensive fieldwork, the readers will be able to develop a criteria and opinion about the relevance of Christmas Tourism.
