Resumen/Abstract
The cryogenic performance of a Ka-Band MMIC
LNA (Low Noise Amplifier) is presented. The amplifier has
four self-biased stages based on GaAs technology. At room
temperature the amplifier gain is 18 dB and with a noise
temperature of 300 K at 30 GHz and a power consumption of 97
mW. When it is cooled to 37 K a noise temperature of 70 K is
obtained with an associated gain of 23 dB at 30 GHz. The noise
temperature test has been carried out using the cold attenuator
method.
