Soberanía pop y cultura artística

Abstract

Esta tesis doctoral trata de la repercusión del principio de soberanía popular sobre la creación de cultura artística. En el trabajo se diferencia entre acceso a la cultura artística por un lado y producción de la cultura artística, por otro lado. En lo primero la democratización es deseable. Sin embargo, en la tesis se discute si es positiva la influencia de la soberanía popular en la producción de cultura artística. En este trabajo se estudia sí la cultura es más resultado del capitalismo manipulador, o si es más resultado de la voluntad popular. También se estudia la relación entre el gusto y las clases sociales, el Estado de la cultura y sus riesgos.

This doctoral thesis deals with the impact of the principle of popular sovereignty on the creation of artistic culture. The work differentiates between access to artistic culture on the one hand, and production of artistic culture on the other hand. In the first place, democratization is desirable. However, the thesis discusses whether the influence of popular sovereignty on the production of artistic culture is positive or not. In this work we study whether culture is more the result of manipulative capitalism, or if it is more the result of popular will. The relationship between taste and social classes, the State of culture and its risks are also studied.
