This paper presents the preliminary results of an investigation carried out under controlled conditions in a physical model on the flow and pollution control capacity of a pilot-scale green roof. The work, developed in the scope of a research project coordinated by the Universidade da Coruña, Universitat Politécnica de Valencia and the Universidad de Cantabria, presents the next challenges on green roof research in Spain
