Esta guía, dirigida a estudiantes universitarios, ofrece orientaciones sobre la información y la literatura científicas, cómo seleccionar y analizar la fiabilidad de los contenidos que se encuentran en la web; cómo acceder mejor a información solvente y acreditada; cómo aprovechar los recursos de las bibliotecas universitarias; qué géneros de publicaciones científicas existen y de qué manera pueden usarse; cómo buscar y reunir documentación sobre un tema de estudio; qué herramientas de búsqueda pueden elegirse; cómo utilizar la información reunida de forma eficaz y legítima; cómo gestionar referencias y documentos; cómo analizarlos y trabajar con ellos; cómo citar y referenciar bibliografía; y cómo presentar trabajos académicos.
