La igualdad en los estudiantes y docentes universitarios

Abstract

El objetivo principal del presente trabajo consiste en observar y analizar la Igualdad abordando la igualdad de género y su marco legislativo, así como la construcción de este. Dicha comprensión se vuelve un instrumento primordial para poder realizar una línea de investigación en un ámbito universitario, ya que la lucha por el cambio social cada día es más constante y progresivo. La universidad toma un papel principal y fundamental para llegar a erradicar las desigualdades de trato y oportunidades que existen entre mujeres y hombres a razón de género, etnia, raza, religión y economía. Es por esto, que se exponen a través del marco teórico diferentes ámbitos de actuación en los que se sufre discriminación, aproximándose a un entorno laboral más igualitario y una educación más equitativa. Para poder comprender mejor estas desigualdades y cómo el entorno a día de hoy repercute en las actitudes hacía la igualdad de géneros, se ha elaborado un estudio en la Universidad de Cantabria a través de un cuestionario que se les ha hecho llegar tanto a estudiantes como a docentes durante el curso académico 2022/23.

The main objective of this paper is to observe and analyse equality by addressing gender equality and its legislative framework as well as its construction. This understanding becomes a fundamental instrument to be able to carry out a line of research in a university environment, since the struggle for social change is more constant and progressive each day. The university takes a leading and fundamental role in eradicating inequalities of treatment and opportunities that exist between women and men, based on gender, ethnicity, race, religion and economy. For this reason, different areas of action in which discrimination is suffered are exposed through the theoretical framework, approaching a more egalitarian work environment and a more equitable education. In order to better understand these inequalities and how the environment today affects attitudes towards gender equality, a study has been carried out at the University of Cantabria through a questionnaire that has been sent to both students and teachers during the academic year 2022/23.
