Análisis y evaluación de la compra de Twitter y la posterior fusión a X por parte de Elon Musk

Abstract

El objetivo principal de este trabajo es analizar la adquisición de Twitter por parte de Elon Musk, que tuvo lugar desde el 31 de enero de 2022 hasta el 27 de octubre del mismo año. Esta inversión se destaca como una de las más significativas de la historia, con implicaciones profundas en el mundo de los negocios y las redes sociales. Esto suscita interesantes preguntas, tales como “¿Qué razones llevaron a Elon Musk a comprar Twitter? “¿Cómo se verá afectado su capital a lo largo del tiempo?”,¿De qué manera repercutirá a la compañía y sus usuarios? En el primer punto de este trabajo realizaremos una introducción del sujeto de la inversión y de la sociedad adquirida, comentando el proceso de compra. Al mismo tiempo se analizará cómo evolucionó la cotización de Twitter durante este período. En el segundo apartado hablaremos de las fuentes de financiación que Elon Musk usó para poder adquirir Twitter. Distinguiremos entre las fuentes de financiación ajenas, y fuentes de financiación propias. Seguidamente, analizaremos los cambios en la compañía tras su compra. También comentaremos cómo afectó a los usuarios de la red social, añadiendo su opinión de los cambios. Por último, se hablará de la fusión de Twitter con X corp. En el tercer epígrafe, se evaluará la inversión realizada por Musk, así como una previsión a futuro de Twitter. El cuarto punto del trabajo nos adentraremos en las empresas “X” creadas por Musk. Fundamentalmente consistirá en un resumen cronológico en el cual se verá su origen e historia, incluyendo la fusión de Twitter con X corp. El quinto apartado dará respuesta a otra de las cuestiones del trabajo. Concretamente hablará de cómo ha repercutido en el capital de Elon Musk la compra de Twitter durante 2022 y 2023. El sexto epígrafe comenta las limitaciones encontradas. Estarán relacionadas con la proveniencia de las fuentes de financiación empleadas por Musk para adquirir Twitter, y también la dificultad para encontrar datos de la sociedad Twitter/X corp. El último apartado de este trabajo corresponde a las conclusiones. Se añadirán todas las aportaciones propias del trabajo encontradas por el alumno.

The main objective of this project is to analyze Twitter´s Purchase from Elon Musk. This event occurred the last 31st January,2022 and ended the 27 of October from this same year. This purchase stands out as one of the most significant investments in history, with deep implications in the business world and social networks. This arouses interesting questions, such as “What reason made Elon Musk to buy twitter? “How will his capital be affected during this time? “In which way will it affect the company and their users? In the first point of this project, we will introduce an introduction of the investment subject and the acquired society, also commenting on the purchase process and the evolution of Twitter price during this period. The second part will talk about the funding sources that Elon Musk used to acquire de society. We will distinguish between our own and external sources. The next step will be to analyze the changes in the enterprise after the purchase, where we will also comment on how the users from the social network were affected, adding their opinion to the changes. Finally, we will talk about the fusion between twitter and X corp. In the third epigraph we will analyze Musk investment in rentability and incomes terms. We will also announce a prediction about the future of the company. The fourth point will be deep in the X enterprises created by Elon Musk. Principally will contain a chronological resume, explaining his origin and history. It will also include the fusion between Twitter and X corp. The five parts of this project will give the answer to another important question. More specifically will talk about how Twitter has repercussions in Elon Musk's capital during 2022 and 2023. The sixth epigraph comments on the limitations found in this project. They are related to the origin of the funding sources which Elon Musk used to acquire Twitter. We will also comment about the difficulties to find information about Twitter/ X corp. The seventh and final part corresponds to the conclusions. All contributions encountered by the student will be placed there.
