La institución del συριάρχης de Antioquía de Siria y el valor histórico de las Πράξεις Παύλου καὶ Θέκλης

Abstract

En el presente artículo analizamos un pasaje de HchPlTe donde se afirma que el martirio de Santa Tecla tuvo lugar en una ciudad llamada Antioquía. Frente a los editores españoles del texto de los Hechos Apócrifos de Pablo y Tecla de la BAC que sugieren que el escenario del martirio de la santa sería Antioquía de Pisidia, consideramos que en el texto existen prueban indiscutibles - in primis la mención de un Thekles - de que se trata de Antioquía de Siria. Al mismo tiempo ponemos de manifiesto la rica y valiosa información de tipo histórico que dichas fuentes nos proporcionan.

In our paper, we analyse a passage in HchPlTe where it is said that the martyrdom of St. Thecla took place in a city called Antioch. Against the Spanish editors of the BAC text of the Apocryphal Acts of Paul and Thecla, who suggest that the scene of the saint's martyrdom was Antioch of Pisidia, we consider that there is unquestionable evidence in the text - in primis the mention of a Thekles - that it is about Antioch of Syria. At the same time, we highlight the rich and valuable historical information provided by these sources.
