Los estereotipos femeninos en los videojuegos. Análisis desde una perspectiva de género.

Abstract

Actualmente, los videojuegos suponen uno de los medios de entretenimiento más globalizados y popularizados, con una repercusión inmensa en nuestra sociedad. Es por este motivo, que es imprescindible atender a los valores que se transmiten, analizando la problemática de género y representación, así como los roles que se establecen y sus consecuencias. Esta investigación tiene el objetivo de analizar la imagen de la mujer en los videojuegos a través del análisis de los medios audiovisuales que ofrecen algunos de los videojuegos más relevantes e importantes para la historia de este medio de entretenimiento, así como el papel de los personajes femeninos en ellos.

Currently, videogames are one of the most globalised and popular entertainment media, with an immense impact on our society. For this reason, it is essential to pay attention to the values that are transmitted, analysing the problems of gender and representation, as well as the roles that are established and their consequences. The aim of this research is to analyse the image of women in video games through the analysis of the media offered by some of the most relevant and important videogames in the history of this kind of entertainment, as well as the role of female characters in them.
