La formación docente y la actitud del alumnado de Magisterio hacia la discapacidad auditiva

Abstract

Este trabajo de investigación tiene como finalidad determinar la relación entre la formación que recibe el alumnado de magisterio de las diferentes universidades de España con la actitud hacia la discapacidad auditiva. Además, observa qué otras variables sociodemográficas influyen en la actitud del estudiantado de magisterio con respecto a la discapacidad auditiva. Asimismo, busca determinar los mitos más arraigados dentro de la sociedad y la relación que existe entre la formación y el aumento o la disminución de errores basados en estereotipos de dicha discapacidad. Para el análisis de las cuestiones expuestas se ha elaborado un cuestionario a modo de instrumento para la recogida de información que determina la formación, la actitud y el conocimiento que posee el alumnado de magisterio. De este modo, la muestra es de 55 personas que actualmente están cursando el grado de magisterio, ya sea de Infantil, Primaria o Doble Grado, de las universidades de Cantabria, Valladolid, León y Sevilla. Los resultados expresan que a mayor formación los errores basados en mitos disminuyen, la actitud es mejor si hay contacto con personas que tienen discapacidad auditiva, además de la influencia de otras variables sociodemográficas como el género y la universidad a la que pertenecen

The aim of this research is to determine the relationship between the education received by student teachers at different universities in Spain and their attitudes towards hearing impairment. It also observes what other socio-demographic variables influence the attitude of student teachers towards hearing impairment. As well as the most deeply rooted myths in society and the relationship between training and the increase or decrease in errors based on stereotypes of hearing impairment. In order to analyze the above questions, a questionnaire was drawn up as an instrument for the collection of information to determine the training, attitude, and knowledge of student teachers. Thus, the sample consisted of 55 people who are currently studying for a teaching degree, whether in Infant Education, Primary Education, or a Double Degree at the universities of Cantabria, Valladolid, León, and Seville. The results show that the higher the education, the lower the errors based on myths, the better the attitude if there is contact with people who are hearing impaired, as well as the influence of other socio-demographic variables such as gender and the university to which they belong.
