Coraline, de Neil Gaiman: una aproximación al terror y a la creación de un hábito lector en Educación Primaria

Abstract

Generar un hábito lector en edades tempranas resulta indispensable, pues abre las puertas no solo al entretenimiento sino también a la didáctica y al desarrollo cognitivo; sin embargo, gran parte del alumnado no encuentra interés en la lectura, y es nuestra labor como docentes la de proporcionar los medios para que leer suponga un atractivo y no un medio de rechazo. El presente trabajo busca solucionar dicha problemática, a partir de un marco teórico sobre la literatura infantil y juvenil y sus diversos tipos, así como de una propuesta didáctica basada en Coraline, de Neil Gaiman, ideada para el tercer ciclo de Educación Primaria, y que también funcionará como una aproximación al terror y la fantasía oscura, géneros literarios usualmente excluidos dentro de la literatura infantil y juvenil.

Generating a reading habit at an early age is essential, since it opens the doors not only to entertainment but also to didactics and cognitive development; however, a large part of the students does not find interest in reading, and it is our job as teachers to provide the tools so that reading results attractive and not a means of rejection. The present Final Degree Project seeks to solve this problem, based on a theoretical framework on children's and youth literature and its various types, as well as a didactic proposal based on Coraline, by Neil Gaiman, designed for the third cycle of Primary Education, and that It will also work as an approach to horror and dark fantasy, literary genres usually excluded from children's and youth literature.
