Caracterización del pensamiento funcional mostrado por un estudiante de 8 años

Abstract

En este estudio se ha llevado a cabo una investigación en la que se pretende indagar, profundizar y analizar el pensamiento funcional puesto de manifiesto por un alumno de tercer curso de Educación Primaria (ocho años) en España, tras haber realizado una tarea que ha implicado la búsqueda de patrones y generalización. Presentamos los sistemas de representación y estrategias empleadas por el alumno en una tarea que involucra la relación funcional f(x)= 5x. En cuanto a los resultados, cabe resaltar que ha resuelto satisfactoriamente los casos en los que se trabaja con cantidades concretas; sin embargo, ha presentado dificultades para desenvolverse en una tarea en la que ha de mostrar su capacidad de generalizar a partir de una letra determinada.

In this thesis there has been made a research which has developed a deep investigation focused on the analysis of the functional thinking. It presents the results of an exploratory study developed with a 3rd grade student (eight years) in Spain, after having carried out a task that involves the search of patterns and generalitation. There are shown the representation systems and strategies used by the pupil in an activity which contains the functional relationship f(x)= 5x. As for the results, he has adequately solved the assingments in which he works with specific quantities; however, he has faced some difficulties to solve a task that requires a generalitation hability using a specific letter.
