Ecuación gravitacional en el comercio internacional de servicios

Abstract

El propósito principal de este documento es evaluar el impacto de diferentes variables en el comercio bilateral de servicios. Para lograr este propósito, utilizando el modelo de gravedad estándar, realizo regresiones sobre el total de importaciones de servicios entre diez países miembros de la OCDE y sus socios comerciales, siendo estos socios comerciales miembros de la OCDE, entre los años 2010 y 2019. Por otro lado, en el trabajo se describen las principales características del modelo gravitacional, y las consideraciones a tener en cuenta a la hora de estimar el modelo, así como las limitaciones presentadas a la hora de realizar el estudio, que afectarán a los resultados del análisis.

The main purpose of this paper is to assess the impact of different variables on bilateral trade in services. To achieve this purpose, using the Standard Gravity Model, I perform regressions on total imports of services between ten OECD member countries and their trading partners, which are OECD trading partners, between 2010 and 2019. On the other hand, the paper describes the main characteristics of the gravitational model, and the considerations to be taken into account when estimating the model, as well as the limitations presented when preforming the study, which will affect the results of the analysis.
