Áridos siderúrgicos para la fabricación de materiales a base de cemento

Abstract

Esta investigación tiene como objetivo el desarrollo de materiales base cemento (morteros, gravacemento y hormigón autocompactante) utilizando arena de fundición reciclada como sustituto parcial y total de arena natural. Los resultados de esta investigación se ven reflejadas en el compendio de artículos que forman parte de esta Tesis Doctoral. Se puede concluir que el uso de arena de fundición reciclada en materiales base cemento es una alternativa viable para mitigar el uso de arena natural, reduciendo así la explotación de este recurso y la generación de CO2. Al mismo tiempo, se producen materiales a base de cemento ecológicamente más viables y de calidad similar a los fabricados con áridos naturales.

The objective of this research is the development of cement-based materials (mortars, gravel-cement and self-compacting concrete) using recycled foundry sand as a partial and total substitute for natural sand. The results of this research are reflected in the compendium of articles that are part of this Doctoral Thesis. It can be concluded that the use of recycled foundry sand in cement-based materials is a viable alternative to mitigate the use of natural sand, thus reducing the exploitation of this resource and the generation of CO2. At the same time, cement-based materials are produced that are ecologically more viable and of similar quality to those made with natural aggregates.
