Este trabajo aborda las relaciones entre la minoría judía y judeoconversa , de una parte, y la sociedad cristiana dominante, en las Castilla de los siglos XIII al XV. Se han establecido tres etapas en la evolución de estas relaciones atendiendo a factores de tipo político, económico, social, cultural y religioso. Se muestra como desde una coexistencia en condiciones desiguales y una tolerancia limitada, se pasó al discurso de la conversión forzosa y el uso de la violencia. La compleja interacción de los factores señalados, sin otorgar un peso excesivo a las creencias religiosas, condujo gradualmente a una solución final radical como fue la expulsión de los judíos de la Península Ibérica, sin lograr resolver el problema de los conversos.
This work deals wih the relations between the Jewish and the conversos minority, on the one hand, and the dominant Christian society, in Castile from the 13th to the 15th centuries. Three stages have been established in the evolution of these relationships based on political, economic, social, cultural and religious factors. It is shown how from a coexistence in unequal conditions and limited tolerance, we moved to the discourse of forced conversion and the use of violence. The complex interaction of the aforementioned factors, without giving excessive weight to religious beliefs, gradually led to a radical final solution such as the expulsion of the Jews from the Iberian Peninsula, without managing to resolve the problem of the conversos.
