Estudio del ”Sabra shell model”

Abstract

A día de hoy la turbulencia sigue siendo un fenómeno físico muy complicado de entender y para ello se han creado los shells models, estos sistemas modelan el fenómeno de la turbulencia desde un punto de vista matemático y que permite encontrar soluciones de manera más sencilla a algunos casos de flujos turbulentos. En este TFG nos centraremos en dos shells models muy importantes el GOY y el Sabra, demostraremos algunas propiedades de estos modelos y probaremos la existencia de solución de los mismos, además verificaremos numéricamente que cumplen las propiedades demostradas.

Nowadays turbulence continues to be a very complicated physical phenomenon to understand and for this reason shell models have been created. These systems model the phenomenon of turbulence from a mathematical point of view and enables finding solutions in a simpler way to some cases of turbulent flows. In this TFG we are going to focus on two very important shell models, GOY and Sabra, we will demonstrate some properties of these models and prove the existence of solution for them, we are also going to verify numerically the previously demonstrated properties.
