La industria cervecera artesanal en Cantabria: un negocio de presente y futuro con raíces del pasado

Abstract

En el año 2006, nace la industria cervecera artesana en Cantabria, coincidiendo, además, con el desarrollo de esta a nivel nacional. Esto, tiene sus orígenes en los “homebreawers”, los cuales, tras un proceso de aprendizaje acerca del nuevo producto, proponen una alternativa a la cerveza industrial. En este trabajo, se han analizado los orígenes de la industria de la cerveza en Cantabria, realizando una conexión con la actual, y, teniendo en cuenta múltiples factores, se han presentado posibles escenarios para el futuro

In 2006, the craft beer industry was born in Cantabria, coinciding, moreover, with the development of this industry on a national level. This has its origins in the "homebrewers", who, after a process of learning about the new product, propose an alternative to industrial beer. In this work, the origins of the beer industry in Cantabria have been analysed, making a connection with the current one, and, taking into account multiple factors, possible scenarios for the future have been presented.
