This TFM aims to study and analyze the football rivalry known as the Old Firm, in Glasgow, Scotland, between the Celtic Football Club and the Rangers Football Club, forged upon topics that mostly went out of the logic of the sporting competition and laid its roots in the social, cultural and religious conflict between two communities with antagonic ways of understanding the United Kingdom, Scotland, Ireland and the very own city of Glasgow, understanding each one of the clubs, respectively, as the identitary spearhead of its cause.
