Estudio informativo de tranvía en Santander

Abstract

RESUMEN: El Estudio Informativo del Tranvía de Santander tiene como objetivo buscar la mejor alternativa para la ejecución de un tranvía que consiga enlazar distintos puntos de la ciudad que son generadores de viajes. De esta forma se busca reducir el uso del vehículo privado y fomentar el transporte público, que ha sido estudiado detalladamente, en su situación actual como en el futuro, con el impacto del tranvía. Para conseguir una solución innovadora que cumpla con el objetivo de unir el centro de la ciudad con el parque tecnológico, las universidades, la playa o los nuevos desarrollos urbanos periféricos, se propone un tranvía segregado en todo su recorrido. Además, se plantea un túnel que atraviese transversalmente la ciudad para unir de forma rápida y directa la Plaza de las Estaciones con la Avenida de los Castros, incluyendo una parada subterránea al estilo metro, en la parte trasera del Ayuntamiento. El trazado tendrá una longitud de más de 13 kilómetros entre las cabeceras, con todo su recorrido en vía doble, para evitar conflictos y asegurar las frecuencias. El trazado se iniciará en el centro Comercial de El Corte Inglés de Nueva Montaña y atravesará el PCTCAN, el Alisal, Cazoña, Valdecilla, la Calle Castilla, Estaciones, el centro de manera subterránea, la Avenida los Castros, para finalmente dirigirse al Intercambiador del Sardinero, donde finalizará la línea.

ABSTRACT: The Informative Study of the Santander Tram aims to find the best alternative for the execution of a tram that manages to link different points of the city that are generators of trips. In this way, it seeks to reduce the use of private vehicles and promote public transport, which has been studied in detail, in its current situation and in the future, with the impact of the tram. To achieve an innovative solution that meets the objective of linking the city centre with the technology park, the universities, the beach or the new peripheral urban developments, a segregated tram is proposed along its entire route. In addition, a tunnel is proposed that crosses the city to quickly and directly linking Plaza de las Estaciones with the Avenida de los Castros, including an underground metro-style stop, near of the City Hall. The layout will have a length of more than 13 kilometres between the heads, with its entire route on double track, to avoid conflicts and ensure frequencies. The route will start at the El Corte Inglés shopping center in Nueva Montaña and will cross the PCTCAN, Alisal, Cazoña, Valdecilla, Calle Castilla, Estaciones, the city centre, Avenida los Castros, and finally go to the Interchange of El Sardinero, where the line will end.
