Litigios por delimitaciones de dominio en la Galicia Moderna

Abstract

RESUMEN: La Edad Moderna trajo consigo un renovado interés de los titulares de dominios administrativos por conocer con mayor exactitud el espacio donde sus competencias de justicia y gobierno tenían jurisdicción. De esta preocupación participaron también sus vasallos, porque de ello se derivaban heterogeneidades de derechos y obligaciones que podían ser muy significativas. Cuando se generaban dudas al respecto, los tribunales de justicia fueron los espacios donde a menudo se dilucidaban las desavenencias sobre la ubicación de estos límites administrativos locales en una conflictividad que enfrentó por igual a señores jurisdiccionales y colectivos vecinales y a todos ellos entre sí.El objetivo de este estudio es analizar esta conflictividad por delimitaciones de dominio en la Galicia Moderna, utilizando para ello los litigios vistos por la Real Audiencia de Galicia, el tribunal por antonomasia de dicho territorio hasta el siglo XIX.

ABSTRACT: The Early Modern Age brought with it a renewed interest of the owners of administrative domains to know more exactly the space where their powers of justice and government had jurisdiction. Their neighbours also participated in this concern, because this gave rise to heterogeneities of rights and obligations that could be very important for them. When doubts arose, the courts of justice were often the places where the disagreements on the location of the limits of the local administrative units were elucidated in a conflict that equally pitted the jurisdictional lords against neighbourhood collective and all of them against themselves.
