Resumen/Abstract
In this paper, the intermodulation distortion (IMD) behaviour of a varactor-tuned reflection-type phase shifter is accurately described. Using a Volterra series approach, the higher order derivatives of the diode C(V) profile are extracted from dedicated harmonic measurements over an Infineon BB833 device. The linearization impact due to the introduction of auxiliary varactors is then quantified, and the predictions properly validated through a lab model at the 2 GHz frequency band.
