Las ciudades españolas y el riesgo de inundación: permanencia y cambio de un problema crónico

Abstract

RESUMEN. Se examina la incidencia del riesgo de inundación a lo largo del tiempo en las ciudades españolas. El análisis permite constatar el papel desempeñado por los factores físicos y humanos en la distribución espacial y evolución temporal de dicho riesgo y explicar sus tendencias recientes en relación con la evolución de las ciudades y con las actuaciones sobre la red hidrográfica.

ABSTRACT. We study the incidence of flood risk in Spanish cities throughout the history. Throught this analysis we can prove the role performed by physical and human factors in the spatial distribution and chronological evolution of this risk. Furthermore, its recent trends are explained in relationship to the evolution of the cities as well as with the human transformation of rivers and fluvial catchments.
