Resumen: Esta memoria de prácticas recoge la labor realizada durante mayo, junio y julio de 2021 en el Archivo Municipal de Santander, en el marco de las prácticas académicas de la mención de Historia Aplicada en el Grado en Historia. En estas páginas se recoge, en primer lugar, un acercamiento a la legislación, la historia y funciones de un archivo y un archivero. En segundo lugar, se describen con detalle las tareas llevadas a cabo en dichas prácticas y se emite un juicio crítico sobre la situación del archivo y las labores que se desempeñan en él.
Abstract: This memory of practices collects my work during May, June and July 2021 in the Municipal Archive of Santander, within the framework of the academic practices of the mention of Applied History in the Degree in History. These pages include, first of all, an approach to the legislation, the history and functions of an archive and an archivist. Secondly, the tasks carried out in said practices are described in detail and a critical judgment is issued on the situation of the archive and the tasks carried out in it.
