Impacto de la industria en el crecimiento económico de Cantabria y otras CCAA, 1980-2019

Abstract

En este trabajo, se va a realizar un estudio, en el cual se analizarán diferentes indicadores cuya finalidad es observar la evolución de Cantabria y otras comunidades autónomas de interés en los últimos 40 años sin incluir los relativos a la pandemia de Covid-19. En este período, la economía ha sufrido cambios significativos en todos los aspectos. Debido a esto, va a resultar interesante elaborar un análisis para explicar el desarrollo tanto de la economía, del empleo y de la industria, de las regiones que explicaremos en los siguientes apartados. El período de estudio va a ser entre 1980 y 2019, etapa muy importante para España en numerosos aspectos. En primer lugar, en nuestro país se aprueban los Estatutos de Autonomía, provocando que Cantabria se convierta en una comunidad autónoma uniprovincial y después el ingreso de España en la CEE. También a nivel económico, hay épocas de recesión y de crecimiento, teniendo gran importancia el ciclo expansivo y posterior crisis económica del año 2008. En cuanto al empleo, se ha observado una gran incorporación de la mujer al mercado laboral durante estas cuatro décadas. Por último, en este período se ha dado un hecho importante en la industria que incidió en el norte peninsular especialmente, los llamados Programas de Reconversión Industrial.

In this paper, a study will be carried out, in which different indicators will be analyzed whose purpose is to observe the evolution of Cantabria and other autonomous communities of interest in the last 40 years, without including those related to the Covid-19 pandemic. In this period, the economy has undergone significant changes in all aspects. Because of this, it will be interesting to elaborate an analysis to explain the development of both the economy, employment and industry of the regions that we will be explained in the following sections. The study period will be between 1980 and 2019, a very important stage for Spain in many aspects. In the first place, in our country the Statutes of Autonomy are approved, causing Cantabria to become a uniprovincial autonomous community and then the entry of Spain into the EEC. Also, at the economic level, there are times of recession and growth, with great importance in the expansionary cycle and subsequent economic crisis of 2008. In terms of employment, there has been a large incorporation of women into the labour market during these four decades. Finally, in this period there has been an important fact in the industry that affected the north of the peninsula, the so-called Industrial Reconversion Programmes.
