Afecciones al paisaje costero cántabro: el caso del Parque Natural de Oyambre

Abstract

Las áreas costeras constituyen los paisajes más productivos a escala mundial. Sin embargo, amenazas como el cambio climático o la sobreexplotación de sus recursos de la mano del ser humano hacen que la existencia de estos ecosistemas peligre. En este trabajo se va a tratar una de las mayores afecciones que sufre el paisaje costero del Parque Natural de Oyambre, dentro de los límites administrativos del municipio de San Vicente de la Barquera (Cantabria), como es la masificación turística y la consecuente aglomeración de vehículos y autocaravanas que suponen un peligro para la conservación del medio. Para frenar estas agresiones, el presente trabajo incluye una propuesta de actuación que persigue rehabilitar los espacios de aparcamiento y reducir las irregularidades producidas en el entorno estudiado, de acuerdo a la legalidad vigente.

Coastal areas are the most productive landscapes on a global scale. However, threats such as climate change or the overexploitation of their resources by man mean that the existence of these ecosystems is in danger. In this work we will deal with one of the greatest affectations suffered by the coastal landscape of the Oyambre Natural Park, within the administrative limits of the municipality of San Vicente de la Barquera (Cantabria), namely the tourist overcrowding and the consequent agglomeration of vehicles and motorhomes, which pose a danger to the conservation of the environment. In order to curb these aggressions, this paper includes a proposal for action to rehabilitate the parking spaces and reduce the irregularities produced in the studied environment, in accordance with current legislation.
