La intervención italiana en la Guerra Civil española (1936-1939)

Abstract

RESUMEN: El conflicto español no fue únicamente español. Estuvo marcado desde antes de su estallido por los intereses y tensiones internacionales del periodo de entreguerras, así como por las conspiraciones que, desde ciertos sectores de la sociedad española, se establecieron en la búsqueda de apoyos para el establecimiento de un nuevo régimen y que encontró uno de sus principales apoyos en la Italia de Mussolini. Las potencias fascistas desde el primer momento prestaron una ayuda esencial a los sublevados que se enmascaró con la política de No Intervención. Estas ayudas permitieron que los sublevados contaran de principio a fin con un apoyo bélico en mayor cantidad y de mejor calidad que el republicano. La Italia fascista, con mayores intereses en España, fue la potencia más determinante gracias al envío de moderno material bélico y el mayor contingente humano de todo el conflicto, el CTV.

ABSTRACT: The Spanish conflict was not only Spanish. It was marked from before its outbreak by the international interests and tensions of the interwar period, as well as by the conspiracies which, from certain sectors of Spanish society, were established in the search for support for the establishment of a new regime and which found one of its main supporters in Mussolini's Italy. The Fascist powers from the first moment provided essential aid to the rebels, which was masked by the policy of Non-Intervention. This aid allowed the rebels to count from the beginning to the end with a war support in greater quantity and of better quality than the Republican one. Fascist Italy, with greater interests in Spain, was the most decisive power thanks to the sending of modern war material and the largest human contingent of the whole conflict, the CTV.
