El molino hidráulico en la Cantabria medieval: Estudio de su ámbito y suo (siglos IX-XV)

Abstract

RESUMEN En el presente trabajo de Fin de Máster se busca desarrollar y analizar aquellas cuestiones que comprendieron a los molinos medievales, circunscribiendo el objeto de estudio al área de la actual Cantabria. Los molinos son elementos que han acompañado a la humanidad desde tiempos antiguos y no han permanecido invariables con el paso del tiempo, sino que han ido evolucionando paralelamente al progreso de las ingenierías. En el territorio de la actual Cantabria está constatado que estas infraestructuras se desarrollaron profusamente en época medieval e incluso han llegado algunos restos hasta nuestros días. Es por todo esto, que son considerados patrimonio industrial y por tanto, son elementos que deben ser conservados y restaurados para evitar su desaparición.

ABSTRACT In the present work of Master's End, we seek to develop and analyze those questions that comprised medieval mills, circumscribing the object of study to the area of today's Cantabria. Mills are elements that have accompanied humanity since ancient times and have not remained unchanged with the passage of time, but have evolved parallel to the development of engineering. In Cantabria it is noted that these infrastructures were intensively developed in medieval times and some remains have even arrived to this day. This is why they are considered industrial heritage and therefore, they are elements that must be preserved and restored to prevent their disappearance.
