RESUMEN: En este trabajo se presenta el desarrollo de la figura de la adopción y las numerosas modificaciones que ha sufrido a lo largo del tiempo debido a los cambios legislativos y a la evolución de la sociedad y más concretamente, el asunto del trabajo, el derecho de los adoptados a poder conocer sus orígenes biológicos. El reconocimiento de este derecho es un principio que se encuentra reconocido en la Constitución Española. El derecho a conocer la familia biológica se ha ido regulando cada vez más debido a los avances que se han producido en la sociedad y tras el incremento progresivo de demandas en los últimos años relacionadas con el deseo de conocer los antecedentes biológicos por parte de aquellas personas que no tienen conocimiento de ello. Debido a estos avances el legislador ha regulado este derecho de forma más profunda con el objetivo fundamental de proteger el interés del adoptado.
ABSTRACT: This work presents the development of the figure of adoption and the numerous modifications it has undergone over time due to legislative changes and the evolution of society and more specifically, the subject of the work, the right of adoptees to be able to know their biological origins. The recognition of this right is a principle that is recognised in the Spanish Constitution. The right to know the biological family has been increasingly regulated due to the advances that have taken place in society and following the progressive increase of demands in recent years related to the desire to know the biological antecedents on the part of those persons who have no knowledge of it. Due to these advances, the legislator has regulated this right in greater depth with the fundamental objective of protecting the interest of the adoptee.
