RESUMEN: El problema de Cauchy o de condiciones iniciales asociado a un sistema de ecuaciones diferenciales ordinarias aparece con frecuencia en Física y otras ciencias. El cálculo de sus soluciones no siempre es sencillo y en ocasiones no existen. Surge así la necesidad de demostrar previamente si existen soluciones y, en tal caso, si se trata de una única solución. El objetivo de este trabajo es estudiar con detalle diversos teoremas que permiten garantizar la existencia y unicidad de soluciones de un problema de Cauchy de primer orden. Dichos resultados proporcionan además diferentes aproximaciones de las soluciones que se aplicarán a algunos ejemplos.
ABSTRACT: The Cauchy problem or initial conditions problem associated with a system of ordinary diffe rential equations appears often in Physics and other sciences. The computation of its solutions is not always an easy task and sometimes they do not exist. Thus, the need arises to previously prove whether there exist solutions and, if so, whether it is a unique solution or not. The goal of this project is to study in detail several theorems that allow us to assert the existence and uniqueness of solution of a first-order Cauchy problem. These results also provide different approximations of the solutions that will be applied to some examples.
