Submarinismo y turismo en Cantabria

Abstract

RESUMEN: El trabajo de fin de grado que se presenta a continuación es un estudio sobre el submarinismo y la práctica del buceo recreativo. Enfocándose en cómo está disciplina podría beneficiar y añadir valor a la oferta turística ya existente en la comunidad de Cantabria. En primer lugar, se ha desarrollado lo que es el submarinismo, sus distintas ramas y versiones. Siendo el buceo recreativo la más accesible y la de mayor relación con el turismo. También se incluye en este trabajo descripciones de los principales destinos internacionales y nacionales. Posteriormente, se analiza la situación de esta práctica en la región. Para lo cual se han realizado encuestas y entrevistas a figuras destacas que conforman la oferta y los usuarios de esta disciplina en nuestra comunidad. Finalmente, se aportan conclusiones y recomendaciones, basadas en los análisis preliminares, con las cuales Cantabria podría mejorar su oferta turística, incluyendo el buceo deportivo como valor turístico.

ABSTRACT: The following undergraduate dissertation includes a study of the practice of recreational diving and how it could benefit the tourist trade in Cantabria. Firstly, it has been developed what we understand as scuba diving and its different branches. Recreational scuba diving is the most accessible and the most related to tourism. The dissertation also includes descriptions of the main international and national diving destinations. Subsequently, it studies how recreational diving affects Cantabria tourism trade. To this end, surveys and interviews have been carried out to leading figures who represent the suppliers and users of this discipline in our region. Ultimately, conclusions and recommendations are provided, based on the preliminary analyses, with which Cantabria could improve its tourist offer by including recreational diving as a tourist attraction.
