Resumen/Abstract
An optical fibre sensor for measuring position in two perpendicular directions is presented. The whole system has been developed, from the transducer head to the electronic unit. Since its principle of operation is light intensity modulation. It is easy to implement and inexpensive. Its resolution is 0.01 μm and it has a dynamic range of 33 dB.
