dc.description.abstract | One of the most important parameters of high birefringent optical fibers is the beat length. Because of its shortness, the measurement of the beat length is very critical. Here, an accurate measurement method that relies on a pressure polarimetric fiber optic sensor is proposed, and the theoretical analysis and discussion about the measurement theory is given. Its temperature dependence is considered, and the intrinsic and extrinsic linear birefringence of the optical fiber under multiple reciprocal perturbations are evaluated. | es_ES |
