Análisis de los alojamientos medioambientalmente sostenibles desde el punto de vista de los clientes

Abstract

RESUMEN: El sector turístico es uno de los más contaminantes en lo que ha emisiones de gases invernadero se refiere, de los cuales casi una cuarta parte proviene directamente de los alojamientos (UNWTO,2007). A esto se le suma que la población está cada vez más concienciada con realizar distintas prácticas sostenibles con el fin de reducir así la huella de carbono generada por la acción humana. Por estas razones, la aparición y auge de alojamientos medioambientalmente sostenibles u hospedajes verdes son una realidad. El objetivo de este trabajo de fin de grado es analizar los alojamientos medioambientalmente sostenibles desde el punto de vista de los clientes para lo cual se va a contextualizar la problemática medioambiental provocada por los establecimientos turísticos, además de explicar que son los alojamientos “verdes” y sus distintas certificaciones. Gracias a esto, se puede afirmar que las prácticas verdes generan una ventaja competitiva en los alojamientos que las realizan, ya que generan satisfacción y originan lealtad en sus huéspedes frente a las que no las realizan.

ABSTRACT: The tourism sector is one of the most polluting in terms of greenhouse gas emissions, of which almost a quarter comes directly from accommodations. In addition, the population is becoming increasingly aware of the need for sustainable practices in order to reduce the carbon footprint generated by human action. For these reasons, the emergence and rise of environmentally sustainable accommodations or green lodgings is a reality. The objective of this final degree project is to analyze environmentally sustainable accommodations from a client point of view, for which the environmental problems caused by tourist establishments will be contextualized, in addition to explaining what "green" accommodations are and their different certifications. The methodology used consists of a survey conducted in Spanish territory to green accommodation guests. It is expected that the results obtained will have implications for the managers of the lodgings, both those that carry out green practices and those that do not, since we will analyze the preferences of the client.
