Triangulaciones, subdivisiones, y politopo secundario

Abstract

RESUMEN: En este trabajo se pretende estudiar las triangulaciones y subdivisiones desde su punto de vista combinatorio, es decir, trabajar con matroides orientadas de politopos y ver la relación con triangulaciones en general y con las llamadas triangulaciones regulares en particular. El concepto de triangulación regular motiva el estudio del abanico secundario, que es el espacio de configuración de todas las subdivisiones regulares y permite entender su estructura. Es de destacar también el Teorema de Gelfand, Kapranov y Zelevinsky, que demuestra la relación entre el abanico secundario de un politopo y el abanico normal de su politopo secundario. En el último capítulo de la memoria se introducen los zonotopos y sus subdivisiones zonotopales, describiendo la construcción de un abanico secundario y un zonotopo secundario con propiedades muy parecidas a las del caso de una configuración de puntos.

ABSTRACT: In this memory we intend to study triangulations and subdivisions from their combinatorial point of view, that is to say, to work with oriented matroids of polytopes and the relation with triangulations in general and with the so-called regular triangulations in particular. The concept of regular triangulation motivates the study of the secondary fan, which is the configuration space of all regular subdivisions and allows us to understand their structure. It is also worth mentioning the Gelfand, Kapranov, and Zelevinsky Theorem, which proves the relation between the secondary fan of a polytope and the normal fan of its secondary polytope. The last chapter of the memory introduces zonotopes and their zonotopal subdivisions, describing the construction of a secondary fan and a secondary zonotope with very similar properties to those of a point configuration.
