RESUMEN :
La gastroplastia endoscópica es una técnica que produce una reducción del volumen gástrico, la cual disminuye la ingesta calórica y retrasa el vaciamiento gástrico, consiguiendo una marcada reducción del peso. Por ello, se utiliza en la actualidad como tratamiento de la obesidad. Debido al gran número de pacientes obesos que presentan hepatopatía metabólica asociada, se ha investigado el posible uso de esta técnica como tratamiento de la misma. En este trabajo se estudian las diferentes técnicas endoscópicas existentes, centrándose en analizar la eficacia y seguridad de la gastroplastia endoscópica en manga realizada mediante el método Apollo en el tratamiento de la MAFLD. Además, en la actualidad se está investigando el uso de la endoscopia bariátrica en el tratamiento de pacientes con enfermedad inflamatoria intestinal y esteatohepatitis no alcohólica. En este trabajo se recogen los resultados de un estudio realizado en el Servicio de Digestivo del Hospital Universitario Marqués de Valdecilla.
ABSTRACT :
The endoscopic gastroplasty is a gastric volume reduction technique, which decreases
the caloric intake and delays the gastric clearance, obtaining a great weight loss. That is
the reason why is used as a treatment of obesity. Due to the large number of obese
patients that also present metabolic liver disease, the possible use of this technique as
a treatment has been investigated. In this project the different endoscopic techniques
are analysed, focusing on the efficacy and safety of the endoscopic sleeve gastroplasty,
done with the Apollo method, as a treatment of MAFLD. Furthermore, nowadays
bariatric endoscopic is also being explored as a treatment for patients with inflammatory
bowel disease and non-alcoholic fatty liver disease. In this project are collected the
results of a study done in the Digestive Service at Hospital Universitario Marqués de
Valdecilla.
