Detención y reclusión en la retaguardia rebelde y la España franquista (1936-1942). El caso de las mujeres.

Abstract

RESUMEN Desde el estallido de la Guerra Civil, en la retaguardia rebelde se implantó un sistema de reclusión organizado a través de cárceles y campos de concentración. En base a este sistema se castigaba y encerraba a todo aquel ciudadano español participe, colaborador, simpatizante o sospechoso de actuar junto o a favor del régimen republicano. Dentro del estudio de este tipo de represión destaca la especificidad con la que las mujeres, junto con sus hijos, fueron castigadas o recluidas por las autoridades rebeldes primero y franquistas después, así como por sus vecinos o amigos, entre otras causas, por el mero hecho de mantener una relación sentimental o familiar con algún condenado o huido. En este TFG se analizará el sistema de detención y reclusión organizado por las autoridades rebeldes y su funcionamiento entre 1936 y 1942; dedicando un apartado específico a estudiar la represión que se ejerció contra las mujeres, y como estas fueron detenidas y retenidas en cárceles y campos.

ABSTRACT Since the outbreak of the Civil War, a system of seclusion organized through prisons and concentration camps was implemented in the rebel rearguard. Based on this system, any participant, collaborator, sympathizer or suspect of acting together with or in favour of the republican regime was punished and locked up. Within the study of this type of repression, the specificity with which women, along with their children, were punished or imprisoned by the rebel authorities first and then Franco, as well as by their neighbours or friends, among other causes, for the mere fact of maintaining a sentimental or family relationship with someone convicted or fled. In this TFG the system of detention and imprisonment organized by the rebel authorities and its operation between 1936 and 1942 will be analyzed; dedicating a specific section to study the repression that was exercised against women, and how they were arrested and held in prisons and camps.
