Análisis comparativo del turismo activo en el norte durante la crisis económica

Abstract

RESUMEN Este trabajo titulado “Análisis comparativo del turismo activo en el norte durante la crisis económica” trata de definir, analizar y comparar las empresas pertenecientes al sector del Turismo Activo (TA) para interpretar de qué manera se gestionan internamente y cómo supieron reaccionar al periodo de crisis económica acontecido durante los años 2008 a 2014. Las regiones escogidas para el análisis son las vecinas Asturias y Cantabria. Para ello utilizaremos las cuentas de balance de las diferentes empresas que pertenecen al TA, se realizarán diversas pruebas estadísticas y ratios que nos permitan conocer la situación económica de estas empresas tanto a corto y largo plazo como su capacidad de rentabilidad y análisis de los resultados para a posteriori realizar un estudio comparativo por comunidad, agrupando las empresas pertenecientes a cada una a través de una suma-conjunto de todos los resultados obtenidos. El objetivo principal del trabajo es dar a conocer un sector dentro del turismo que hasta hace no mucho era totalmente desconocido y que en los últimos años tiene una tendencia de crecimiento altísima, desde una perspectiva de análisis económico financiero, comparando (a partir de la información obtenida en la base de datos SABI y de las ratios utilizados al respecto) dos comunidades autónomas limítrofes y punteras a nivel nacional en el TA. Los resultados obtenidos a través del análisis e interpretación de los ratios calculados, muestran situaciones muy dispares en la gestión de las empresas dependiendo de la Comunidad Autónoma que se considere. Este trabajo puede ser de utilidad a cualquier persona que le interese de alguna manera el TA tanto para la creación de una nueva empresa o simplemente por conveniencia. El sector público también podría valerse del trabajo para la realización de comprobaciones de la información declarada por las empresas.

ABSTRACT This research titled “Comparative analysis of active tourism in the north during the crisis”, tries to define, analyze and compare the companies belonging to the Active Tourism (AT) sector, in order to interpret how they are internally managed, and how they knew to react to the period of economic crisis between 2008 and 2014. The chosen regions for this analysis are neighboring Asturias and Cantabria.

For this, we will use the balance sheet of the different companies that belong to the AT, the realization of various statistical tests and ratio will allow us to know the economic situation of this companies, both in the short and the long term, as well as their profitability and result analysis in order to, later on, carry out a comparative study of both communities, grouping the companies belonging to each one through a sum-set of all the results obtained.

The main objective of the research is to announce a sector from inside the tourism that, until no long ago, was totally unknown and that, in the recent years, has been having a massive growth trend, from a perspective of economic and financial analysis, comparing (from the information obtained in the SABI database, and from the ratios used in for it) two bordering communities that are leading the AT at a national level. The results obtained from the analysis and interpretation of the calculated ratios, show very different situations when talking about the management of the companies depending on the Autonomous Community considered. This research could be of use to anyone who is interested in the AT, both for the creation of a new company but also for simply convenience. The public sector could also use this research to verify information reported by the companies.
