Mejora en el servicio de practicaje en las Pitiusas

Abstract

RESUMEN: Este trabajo surgió durante las prácticas realizadas en la corporación de prácticos del puerto de Ibiza como controlador del tráfico marítimo, durante las mismas surgen una serie de dudas que a lo largo del presente trabajo se tratarán de resolverlas y plantear mejoras en el servicio dada la importancia de esta actividad para la seguridad marítima. Dado el desconocimiento del servicio de practicaje, en el presente Trabajo fin de Grado se estudia y se describe desde distintos ámbitos, como el histórico, el normativo estatal y nacional, el de la seguridad y el profesional entre otros. Se indaga sobre los requisitos necesarios para optar a un puesto de práctico en alguno de los puertos del estado español, así como los exámenes que se deben de realizar. En este trabajo se relatan los inicios de la corporación de prácticos de Ibiza, su evolución, argumentando hechos históricos en Ibiza y Formentera que fueron de gran importancia para las Pitiusas, hasta hoy en día, reflejando los bienes materiales y humanos que posee. también se investigan algunos incidentes y accidentes que se han producido en los últimos años. Debido a la peligrosidad a la que se enfrenta el práctico a la hora de realizar su trabajo, se hace hincapié en la identificación de los peligros a los que se enfrentan, así como las medidas de prevención para poder evitar posibles accidentes. Por último, se concluye el trabajo aportando varios aspectos, a nivel personal, en los que lo servicios de practicaje de Ibiza y Formentera podrían mejorar en un futuro.

ABSTRACT: This work arose during the internship with the Ibiza Pilots at Ibiza Island as a Maritime traffic controller. During the internship had many doubts which will try to resolve and propose improvements in the pilotage service of this activity for the maritime safety. Due to the lack of knowledge of the pilotage service, in this thesis it will be studied and describe from different perspectives, such as historical, state and nation regulations, safety and professional among others. Will also talk about the necessary requirements to apply for a position as a pilot in one of the ports of the Spanish state, as well as the exams that must be taken. This work will describe the beginning of the Ibiza Pilots Corporation, from its evolution, arguing historical facts in Ibiza and Formentera that are of great importance for the Pityusic islands, until nowadays, reflecting the material and human assets that it possesses. It also investigates some incidents and accidents that have occurred in recent years. Due to the danger pilot faces when carrying out his work, emphasis is placed on the identification of the danger they face, as well as the prevention measures to be able to avoid possible accidents. Finally, the work concludes with a personal opinion on aspects in which the pilotage services of Ibiza and Formentera could improve in the future.
