RESUMEN: La tecnología blockchain destaca sobre todo por su capacidad de adaptación a casi cualquier sector, y en concreto, tiene un gran potencial en el sector marítimo. Con el desarrollo y conclusión de este trabajo, se pretende visibilizar la importancia de la innovación e inversión en I+D en el sector marítimo, un sector que ante muchas situaciones tiende a ser inmovilista y tradicional. Se ha intentado redactar este trabajo de la forma más amena para el lector con el objetivo de que la lectura resulte interesante y atractiva tanto en formato como en contenido. Lo considero pues, un trabajo del que se puede aprender de forma cuantiosa sobre una tecnología realmente prometedora y novedosa y que, aunque parezca totalmente ajena, está siendo aplicada incluso para la distribución de los certificados relativos a la vacunación del virus SARS-CoV-2 a nivel europeo. Es, por tanto, un trabajo en el cual se ha intentado transmitir tanto, un cierto grado de rigor académico -tanto a la hora del desarrollo como del planteamiento bibliográfico-; como una lectura amena para aquel lector que no haya oído hablar en su vida de la tecnología blockchain.
ABSTRACT: Blockchain technology stands out above all for its ability to adapt to almost any sector, and in particular, it has great potential in the maritime sector. With the development and conclusion of this work, it is intended to make visible the importance of innovation and investment in R&D in the maritime sector, a sector that in many situations tends to be immobile and traditional. This work is written in the most pleasant way for the reader in order to make the reading interesting and attractive both in format and content. It is considered, therefore, a work from which anyone can learn about a really promising and novel technology and that, although it seems totally distant, is being applied even for the distribution of certificates related to the vaccination of the SARS-CoV-2 virus in the European Union. It is, therefore, a work that has been made with the intention of transmitting both a certain degree of academic rigor - at the time of development and at the bibliographic approach-; and as an enjoyable read for those readers who have never heard of blockchain technology in their life.
