Nuevas tecnologías de la información en las organizaciones

Abstract

RESUMEN Las tecnologías de la información son herramientas basadas en la informática que tienen la capacidad de gestionar la información. Es importante unir a esta definición dos conceptos: el Internet de las cosas (IoT), cuyo significado hace referencia a dichas herramientas conectadas a internet y el Big Data, que se relaciona con los datos que se generan a partir de el uso de estas. En conjunto, su desarrollo cobra vital importancia en las organizaciones. Dentro de un sistema de información empresarial, su implantación tiene como objetivo lograr la mayor eficiencia y efectividad en las actividades de la empresa, por lo que, en la actualidad es imprescindible tanto su desarrollo como su implantación. Este Trabajo de Fin de Grado, tiene como objetivo analizar en profundidad los tres conceptos mencionados, destacando su importancia relativa en la actualidad de las empresas. También como influye de manera positiva dentro del sector de los servicios y para ello se ha seleccionado la filial Ferrovial Servicios, dedicada a la actividad de mantenimiento y conservación de infraestructuras, recogida de residuos y su tratamiento, entre otros, donde se verá el alcance de estas nuevas tecnologías en la reducción de sus costes y la mejora de sus servicios.

ABSTRACT Information technologies are computer-based tools that have the capacity to manage information. It is important to unite to this definition two concepts: the Internet of Things (IoT), whose meaning refers to such tools connected to the Internet and Big Data, which relates to the data that are generated from the use of these. Overall, its development is of vital importance to the organizations. Within a business information system, its implementation aims to achieve the greatest efficiency and effectiveness in the activities of the company, so at present it is essential both its development and its implementation. This Final Degree research paper aims to analyze in depth the three concepts mentioned, highlighting their relative importance in today’s companies. It also has a positive influence within the service sector and for this purpose has been selected the subsidiary Ferrovial Servicios, dedicated to the activity of maintenance and conservation of infrastructure, waste collection and treatment, among others, where the scope of these new technologies will be seen in the reduction of their costs and the improvement of their services.
