Análisis de viabilidad para la implantación de una planta de biogás en Cantabria

Abstract

RESUMEN El presente Trabajo de Fin de Máster tiene como objetivo último el estudio de la viabilidad económico-financiera para la implantación de una planta de biogás a partir de la utilización de residuos orgánicos para su aprovechamiento energético en la fábrica de cocinas de gas de Santander, Cantabria, de BSH Electrodomésticos España S.A. Se comenzará realizando un estudio intensivo sobre las características principales del biogás, las diferentes tecnologías actuales para producirlo (tipos y características) y purificarlo. Se estudiarán y analizarán distintos tipos de materias orgánicas con el fin de poder seleccionar aquella que ofrezca mejores resultados. Finalmente, para el presente trabajo, se hará uso de desechos alimenticios. También se desarrollará de manera explícita la gestión y planificación del proyecto a través de la herramienta software de administración de proyectos Microsoft Project con el fin de poder dar apoyo organizacional de una manera más visual al desarrollo de los planes propuestos, asignar las diferentes tareas a los empleados que participen, poder realizar un seguimiento del progreso de estas, definir los presupuestos, así como las distintas cargas de trabajo, entre otras cosas. Se ha definido el tamaño que tendrá la planta de biogás a implantar a partir de un estudio que calcula la cantidad mínima requerida de residuos alimenticios que son necesarios si se pretende cubrir el consumo medio anual de gas natural que tiene actualmente la fábrica. Por tanto y para concluir, se realiza un análisis económico-financiero para corroborar si la inversión propuesta del sistema planteado genera beneficios económicos para la fábrica si, como ya se ha mencionado, se desea únicamente cubrir dicho consumo medio anual de gas natural a través de desechos alimenticios.

ABSTRACT The final objective of this Master's Thesis is to study the economic-financial feasibility for the implementation of a biogas plant from the use of organic waste for energy use in the gas cooker factory in Santander, Cantabria by BSH Hausgeräte GmbH. An intensive study will begin on the main characteristics of biogas, the different current technologies to produce it (types and characteristics) and purify it. Different types of organic materials will be studied and analyzed in order to select the one that offers the best results. Finally, for the present work, use will be made of food waste. The management and planning of the project will also be explicitly developed through the project management software tool Microsoft Project in order to be able to give organizational support in a more visual way to the development of the proposed plans, assign the different tasks to the employees who participate, being able to track their progress, define budgets, as well as different workloads, among other things. The size of the biogas plant to be implemented has been defined based on a study that calculates the minimum required amount of food waste that is necessary if it is to cover the average annual consumption of natural gas that the factory currently has. Therefore and to conclude, an economic-financial analysis is carried out to corroborate whether the proposed investment of the proposed system generates economic benefits for the factory if, as already mentioned, it is only desired to cover said average annual consumption of natural gas through food waste.
