La percepción del futuro profesor de matemáticas sobre la formación recibida en el máster de secundaria

Abstract

RESUMEN El objetivo de este TFM es conocer la opinión de los alumnos que han cursado el Máster en Formación del Profesorado de Enseñanza Secundaria, en la especialidad de Matemáticas, sobre la formación recibida y el grado de cumplimiento de sus expectativas. Se entrevistaron a 19 estudiantes después de haber cursado todas las asignaturas del master, a falta de completar su TFM. Los resultados muestran que los alumnos que cursan el máster tienen altas expectativas respecto a lo que esperan aprender sobre conocimiento pedagógico del contenido, pero se muestran desencantados con los resultados alcanzados. Están muy interesados en una formación instrumental y lo que más valoran son las prácticas en los centros educativos. Los resultados pretenden mostrar las opiniones de los futuros profesores de Secundaria sobre la organización y contenidos del máster, de forma que se puedan mejorar elementos claves como el conocimiento del contenido y el conocimiento pedagógico del contenido.

ABSTRACT This study aims to know pre-service teachers’ expectations and perceptions about the training received during their Master's Course in Teacher Training for Secondary Education, in the field of Mathematics. 19 students were interviewed after having taken all subjects, and before submitting their master thesis. The results show that the students had high expectations before begging the master, and such expectations were not always fulfilled. They were rather interested in instrumental training and what they value the most were the internships in the educational centres. The results are intended to show the opinions of future secondary school teachers on the organization and contents of the master's degree, and conclude that key elements of the teaching training such as content knowledge and pedagogical content knowledge can be improved.
