La huella documental de Juana I de Castilla (1479-1555) durante su cautiverio

Abstract

RESUMEN: Juana I (1479-1555), reina de Castilla, es un personaje muy conocido gracias, en gran parte, a la imagen distorsionada que de ella han transmitido la literatura o el cine. Cuando se han realizado aproximaciones a su figura, lo que más se ha destacado siempre es su enamoramiento enfermizo de su marido Felipe el Hermoso, la locura en la que cayó tras su muerte y el largo encierro al que fue sometida por parte de su hijo Carlos I. Mitos aparte, este Trabajo Fin de Grado pretende conocer mejor su figura, intentando averiguar cuál fue el papel de la reina entre los años veinte y cincuenta del siglo XVI a partir de las menciones que de ella existen en la documentación de estos treinta años que se encuentra digitalizada en el Portal de Archivos Españoles (PARES).

ABSTRACT: Juana I (1479-1555), queen of Castile, is a very famous person thanks to the distorted image that literature or cinema have transmitted of her. When it has been written about her, the main topics have always been her unhealthy love with her husband Felipe el Hermoso, her madness after his death and the long confinement to which she was subjected by her son Carlos I. Beyond the myths and legend, this Final Degree Project aims to understand better her figure, trying to find out what was the role of the queen between the twenties and fifties of the sixteenth century, searching her mentions in the documentation of these thirty years that is digitized in the Portal de Archivos Españoles (PARES).
