Impacto del fútbol en el turismo

Abstract

RESUMEN: El turismo deportivo es una de las ramas que más potencia el sector en los últimos tiempos, sobre todo por su contribución a la desestacionalización. Entre todos los deportes, uno de los que más volumen de espectadores (potenciales turistas) mueve es el fútbol, que con el paso de los años ha ido ganando cada vez más relevancia a nivel global. A pesar de la dificultad para cuantificar con exactitud el impacto que generan este tipo de eventos en los diversos ámbitos del turismo, en esta investigación se reflejan cantidades importantes, tanto económicas como sociales, de las principales competiciones futbolísticas y de la repercusión que genera el Racing de Santander, principal equipo representante de la región cántabra.

ABSTRACT: Sports tourism is one of the branches that most enhances the sector in recent times, especially for its contribution to seasonality. Among all sports, one of those with the highest volume of spectators (potential tourists) is soccer, which over the years has been gaining more and more relevance globally. Despite the difficulty in accurately quantifying the impact generated by this type of event in the various areas of tourism, this research reflects significant amounts, both economic and social, of the main football competitions and the impact generated by Racing de Santander, the main representative team of the Cantabrian region.
